Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks!
We had a blast at the Twins game the other day, the girls thoroughly enjoyed the snacks but the game was awesome for me. Derek Jeter hit a home run but the Twins ended up winning. The Metrodome was really cool it's mostly underground, the street is level with the upperdeck, its a cool place. We live about 1 mile from it so for once we were on time to the game.

Ridin' at the MOA
The Nickelodeon amusement park inside the Mall is so cool, the girls love it. We are now doing family home evenings with a constant theme of everything in moderation...They don't realize that riding rides costs money and that we can't ride rides everytime we go there. Kind of a slow process teaching that concept.
The girls have had a great time going to museums, lakes and parks, and all sorts of other fun summer activities. The only tough part is I (dad) can't go with them. We work a ton out here, usually noon to dark, monday thru Saturday.
My women...
My sweet ladies, aren't they precious? This is in our apartment in Minneapolis before a day out on the town. Crissy is doing good, she likes her new doctor and can't wait to find out what we're having! Actually I think she is scared its a boy and so she is holding out until the end cause she's not sure how she would handle a boy. Even though our girls are a rough bunch, all Cris knows is girls. That's my take anyway. We can't wait, but all we hope for is a healthy baby, boy or girl.

Ohhhh! You need to pull over!
After our wonderful experience in South Dakota*, we decide to drive straight through to Minnesota. We realized we wouldn't get in until about 3:00am, but hey the kids would fall asleep and we could just talk and it would be great!
About 11:30, Sophie is still awake and whining, Brit is slapping his face, and I'm pounding on my legs. We know we are so close, but I tell Brit he would have to do it on his own because I couldn't handle it. By 12:00 I tell him just to get off the freeway and find a hotel.
You would think the good night sleep would make us all refreshed and ready for those last few hours we had, but all the crap in the car, crap in our stomaches, and crappy attitudes had finally gotten the best of us.
I decide to drive because Brit drove all the day before. Minnesota welcomed us the night before and the day after with slushy frigid rain. About 30 minutes into driving Brit says "Ohhh I think you need to pull over. Pull Over!" He was done for the next 8 days. I'm yelling at the kids because the are sick of having stuff surrounding them in the car and they keep fighting with eachother. We've all had it.
Needless to say when we get to Minneapolis, we are all happy and excited to be here. Our apartment is great and there are a ton of fun things to do. I even met my new doctors and our hospital is 3 blocks away.
*The people in South Dakota were extremely nice! Almost too nice, where I was getting a little freaked out. Every stop we made from Rushmore to downtown Minneapolis, strangers were giving my kids gifts! Strange old men gave them money at a gas station, they also received cookies, popcorn, bags of chips, toys and candy....all from different stops! I felt like everyone was staring at them AND me for being pregnant with another one. Paranoid? Quite possibly. In Utah, people don't give you a second look with your kids, they are a dime a dozen. In the mall of america (which is a whole other entry in itself), I overheard three elderly ladies commenting on my girls and one said, "and look she's pregnant too." Now I like to think they were saying how cute the girls were because they weren't throwing fits, but I didn't hear. And it also comforts me in thinking, IF they had gifts, they would have offered them to my kids. Not that they might be judging me for having 3 babies. This could possibly be my new way of thinking.... 'that person isn't giving me the evil eye because my 5 year old is throwing a fit in Target. She's just thinking if she has a sucker in her purse to give to her.'

Second stop with ol' Ma and Pa Terry
Both Brit and I are amazed with how old we are becoming. We were remembering growing up and traveling with our parents and just how incredably boring all the things our parents thought were wonderful. This place truly is majestic. Just walking around the grounds was so peaceful and amazing, we just were in awe the whole day. It made the four day journey to Minnesota worth while! People were shocked when they found out we were driving and not flying, but I have always wanted to visit Mt. Rushmore and see more of the country. Most surprisingly, though was how great the kids were being! So that meant Brit and I were great too. That is until the very last day...
As we were rounding the mountain Chloe got so excited and shouted, "I see a head!"

Our first stop in Wyoming, with a trip down "F" word lane...
Wyoming is really one of the prettiest places. We loved the cowboy mascot that was everywhere! We made our first stop in Sheridan, WY where Brit's family lived for a little while when he was 4 or 5 years old.
We were able to find his old house with the help of good ol' Marsh!
This is the street sign Brit used to swing around and he would sing the F word over and over loud and proud. He claims some kids in the neighborhood would say it and he didn't know it was bad. It just makes me wonder what kind of upbringing did he have?!
We made a small detour to Devil's Tower. I'm not sure I would have really known what this was until I was reminded that it was in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Chloe loved hearing about the Indian legend of the tower, and wanted me to tell her the whole ride to South Dakota.
